Management and Administration of Spaces
In 1999, the Stock 20 was still supervised by the Department of Culture, Taiwan Provincial Government（now the Headquarters Administration of Cultural Heritage）；by means of publicly inviting tenders, L’Orangerie won the first place among a great number of competitors. This was the first government project L’Orangerie had acquired upon its establishment. At the time, the project itself was a beginning of carrying out the policy in the adaptive reuse of abandoned space; hence, it was highly valued not only by the government but also by the public. Since then, the projects of large-scale abandoned space have been springing up. Through calling for public bidding, the government would select the experienced non-government circles to enter and manage the spaces, meanwhile more opportunities were given to the private organisations like L’Orangerie to learn. Because of success generated in the Stock 20, L’Orangerie had consequently gotten chances to enter and manage the Huashan 1914．Creative Park and Hualien Creative & Cultural Park, this also enabled L’Orangerie become the only professional team that once conducted three large-scale abandoned spaces in Taiwan.
